Solicitor and Director
I came into the law straight from school as an “office boy” working in a litigation department dealing mainly with family, crime and accident claims. I was completely won over by the challenges facing the litigation team every day and soon decided I had to qualify as a solicitor doing so in 1981 having first qualified as a Legal Executive. I only ever wanted to act for claimants, not defendants and my special interest was in personal injury claims acting for members of both the Transport & General Workers Union and the RAC before moving onto specialising in claims for those injured working offshore including commercial divers. In 1983 I began to acting for those who had been let down by the medical profession setting up a dedicated team which is now managed by my colleagues Sara and Simon. Within the last seven years, I have transferred my experience to claims for Professional Negligence primarily for those clients whose legal advisors have let them down in their personal injury clam or in property related transactions when buying or selling their home.
Outside the office, my main interest is my family with two boys who have followed in my footsteps to become devoted Canary fans.
